Money

The currency of the site is that of ryo/ryou(The Japanese currency seen to be used in the Naruto anime and manga). It is used for practically all dealings, from NPC interactions to PC black market dealings. However, in order for the site to function properly a strict set of guidelines must be maintained in order for our own little mini-economy to not collapse and get everyone throwing money at hookers and bazookas.

In a short summary, money can be obtained in 3 different ways;

1.) Weekly Pay
2.) Missions
3.) From other players(Stealing, Gifting, etc)

1. Weekly Pay

Weekly pay is not as simple and great as it sounds… As it says though, it is just a weekly salary you receive every Sunday for doing certain jobs. There are only TWO ways you can receive weekly salary:

-By being a Kage of a village, simple as that. Kages receive a 7.5k ryou weekly salary for being awesome.

-By being a Jounin that is currently training a team of students(genin or chuunin). For their basic contribution to the future of their village they receive 5k ryou a week.

However, keep in mind… You are being paid for ACTIVITY… Y’know, doing stuff. Not to sit on your ass and just keep a rank seat warm. So, in order to receive your weekly pay, either as a Kage you must have posted at least once during that week, or as a jounin you must have trained a lower rank shinobi at least once. It is done in week sets though… Every Sunday you look back on the week, if you made your required posts then you get your money, if not you can try again next week.

As well, anyone on an absence receives no ryou(though that should be obvious considering they won’t be posting).

2. Missions

Missions will, and should always be the primary source of income for any shinobi. They range from D rank to S rank and encompass and every single task you could think of that a shinobi may be assigned to do… from fetching some fat lady’s cat, to the assassination of a daimyo. Mission pay comes directly from the wallet of a village, and is assigned by Kages themselves(though it can be distributed by jounins.)

As a basic reference for what each rank of missions is for, who it should be assigned to, and what it should pay use this reference sheet(taken directly from Naruto Wikia);

• D-rank - assigned to Genin fresh from the Ninja Academy. They pose almost no risk to the ninja's life and usually consist of odd jobs like farming and babysitting work. The reward for a D-rank mission is between five thousand and fifty thousand Ryō.
• C-rank - assigned to more experienced Genin or Chūnin. They are missions anticipated to have some combat involved with the possibility of injury to the shinobi performing it. Examples are guarding people, background investigations, or capturing or suppressing wild animals. The reward for a C-rank mission is between thirty thousand and 100 thousand Ryō.
• B-rank - assigned to experienced Chūnin. They are missions anticipated to involve combat with other ninja. Examples are guarding people, espionage, or killing other ninja. The reward for a B-rank mission is between 150 thousand and 200 thousand Ryō.
• A-rank - assigned to Jōnin, concerning, among other things, village-or state-level matters and trends. Examples are guarding VIPs or suppressing ninja forces. The reward for an A-rank mission is between one hundred fifty thousand and a million Ryō.
• S-rank - assigned to experienced Jōnin and concern state-level confidential matters. Examples are assassinating VIPs, and transporting highly classified documents. The reward for an S-rank mission is more than a million Ryō.

Keep in mind villages only get a certain amount of ryou a week to pay for misions. Also always remember you can be assigned missions from 3rd parties.

3. Other Players

This is straight up and simple with only few restrictions… If you don’t really understand this one then you might need to seek additional mental help. With this choice, you’re either receiving by gift or stealing the ryou from another player or village. Keep in mind though these three basic rules;

1. How can you steal that which does not exist… Don’t make up bullshit just because you want some money. If a village only receives 40k a week, and its paying for missions, then it won’t be carrying a million ryou at the kage office.
2. Use some common sense. Most people DO NOT carry around their whole life savings around with them, especially when their job involves killing and being killed. Just because someone has collected a million ryou doesn’t mean they’re carrying a million ryou.
3. Alwaysalwaysalways ask for at least a moderator’s approval when doing these types of transactions, specifically theft. There’s always unseen factors, and you may have overlooked something. A dozen things could be voided from your simple mistake if you don’t ask for a 3rd party to look at it.

And although it should be obvious… All money interactions must be role-played out IC.

Village Funds

Village funds will now be determined entirely by shinobi activity, or in other words missions. Missions are usually given by an outside source, and thus represent what the village is being paid. They also represent how much the village has to spend on the military. Either way, shinobi activity is the best and fairest way to accurately determine a village's resources.

Village pay has been changed from weekly to biweekly in order to better grasp how active the village is. Villages will receive an initial 1,000,000 ryou to hand out missions, and after that must consult this system to determine pay. Every 2 weeks a village Kage or assigned villager will post in the appropriate board with a list of all missions completed and the link to where the mission was completed. Pay is determined by the following list:

D-Rank: Funds = Mission Reward x 2
C-Rank: Funds = Mission Reward x 3
B-Rank: Funds = Mission Reward x 5
A-Rank: Funds = Mission Reward x 7
S-Rank: Funds = Mission Reward x 10

It should seem pretty straightforward... if you gave you out an S-rank mission for 1 million ryou and it was successfully completed, then you'll get 10 million ryou back on village payday. If you gave you a D-Rank for 5,000, you'll get 10000 back. etc etc. This system is entirely dependent on the collaboration of both shinobi and Kage. There should be no excuse for a Kage to not be handing out missions, and for shinobi to not being doing them.
