What is Fame and Infamy?

Fame is a measurement of how well-known and renowned your shinobi is. The value of fame is low; it is used mainly to determine IC, if your character should know of another or not. Fame is also used in the Organization system and it also affects the Infamy system.

Infamy is for 'evil' shinobi; it is a measurement of your criminal level. The more crimes you commit, the higher your infamy will be. Alongside your fame, it will determine the priority of hunting your shinobi, with high levels being high priority.

How do I gain Fame / Infamy?
Fame and Infamy is REQUESTED, in the Template Changes, in the Template changes Section. It is given after a Moderator and The Head of Fame/Infamy Commissioner make the decision to give you an amount based on what you did and amounted to in a topic. The one who wants to receive the Fame/Infamy must make a template change.

What general amounts are there for Fame / Infamy?

There are several ways to gain Fame, listed below. Fame may also regress over time.

* Completing missions; Amount depends on the mission itself.
* Acquiring Basic Titles.
* Acquiring Special Titles.
* Saving / Affecting another's life.
* Anything criminal.
* Participating in wars / fights.
* Doing something special.
* Sparing a enemy ninja's life
* Imagination's the limit.

Infamy is more clear-cut than fame. Infamy's highest value is 150. Doing good deeds will lower it. The amounts may fluctuate based on situation.

* Leaving Village: +3 Infamy if caught
* Theft / Minor Destruction: +8 Infamy
* Treason: +10 Infamy
* Major Destruction: +25 Infamy
* Killing shinobi: +15/10/5 each (Per Basic Title)
* Kage Coup: +100 Infamy

This is where things start getting serious. Missing-nin of this level are considered to be dangerous, and rewards are offered for the capture or murder of these criminals. Hunter groups are often assembled to track them down.
* A-Class: 1000 VC
The second greatest class of missing-ninja these are referred to as very dangerous. Their wanted status is usually kill-on-sight, and high rewards are offered to whoever can bring them in or take them down.
* S-Class: 1300 VC and up
The greatest class of missing-ninja, these criminals are considered threats to the entire world. Shinobi villages often band together to bring these heretical criminals down. The rewards for stopping these villains are staggering, but so is the death count of those who hunt them.
